Cool Interview Today

I have an interview today with a company that does interactive and multimedia DVD's, CD's, presentation, inter, intra and extranets and much more...I am really stoked about this one. From what I know so far I am thinking my multimedia experience will really pay off at this interview, as it's not that common to have a company like this looking for help, they do all my passions, web and music...helll, if it was for a brewery it would be perfect :-) But it ain't.

Anyway, send me good MoJo, meeting commences in 8 hours...this one sounds really good, and fun too...

Shew, that was a work out.

Ok just did my grass skirt, bone in my hair, circle dance complete with VooDoo dust, (now I have to vacume) If that doesn't get you the job there has to be some core defect with the offer that would make it undesirable!

Best-0-luck

yes, very cool place. No cubicles, actual offices with sliding glass doors, lots of glass and mirrors, very mod furniture, cool PC's, everyone has at least two, sometimes three monitors, good location, hip people...it'd be a great gig and I think I did pretty well.

Where have I been? I have been up to my neck in retail safe digital keypad locks, learning to assemble/dissemble/troubleshoot a pc-based retail safe system, setting up a workshop of sorts at the office so I can test nonworking products under warranty that fail in the field, writing a bunch of support scripts to resolve pc troubles over the phone, taking tons of phone calls and helping customers do everything from open a combination lock to rewire a pc safe's bill validator - I have been working my *** off for weeks. My training period is almost complete.

I have zero time now at work to surf the net... but that's ok, 'cuz I love my job. I'd rather be working hard at something I love than loafing at a job that doesn't challenge me, such as my last job. Unfortunately, I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on music either. The "secret project" is about 2/3 finished, got some tracks to lay down yet.

So the pendulum of music swings away from me for a little while... That's alright. My focus is elsewhere for a few months - I'll focus on music again soon. It'll always be there. I do miss hearing as much music as I did before this new job, though... I don't officially have a desk yet, since I'm in training (but next week is my last week for that), but once I get a desk I'll be able to play cds while I work again. That's one nice perk of having a desk job. :) I ain't dead yet, gang, I'm just very very busy. I'm not around as much - but I'm still around. I come around every few days and read the posts here. Well hey, I gotta run - just about time to go to work, actually. Take care folks, and db I do hope you get that job!

Well, I just heard from them, the process of the final interview round got kinda hosed up so they are being stalled. However, I was told when it does resume I AM still in the running in the final round of interviews...so, as flame would say "I'm well chuffed".

Until then, I start another 3 week contract next Monday up in Minneapolis close to the place that layed me off a couple months back...
