I moved to a new neighbourhood/city in December 2004, so this was our first Hallowe'en in the new place.

Our street has no lighting, there's no sidewalk, it's on a hill.
Number of trick-or-treaters: 0
Not one.
What am I going to do with all this candy?

High point was my three year old son dressed as Big Ben Roethlisberger. He went to another neighbourhood and scored big.
He came home with full size Baby Ruths in his bag.

I went to a party with a friend of mine, and sat outside and passed out what little candy we had to the kids. Once we ran out of candy I put up a sign out front "Sorry No candy, Come around back for a beer though" Since we had about 7 coolers full and only 15 people at the party lol. (Leftovers from everyones earlier halloween parties. Then we got drunk and played poker for the remainder of the night.

We had about 50 if that. And one was the cutest little angel carrying a bucket for her and one for her brother who was to scared to come up the stair. She musta been only about 3 and not even 3" tall. A couple of teenagers who were to old to be out doin the trick or treat thing in my book.

I don't care how old you are as long as you are in costume. people who don't wear costumes don't get anything though. Some teenager came around talking about he's a raiders fan cuz he had on a raiders shirt. I gave him a happy halloween see ya next year.

...a few people this year were giving out cans of pop (soda). I thought that was a great, safe idea. Generic brands are pretty cheap too. All in all I thought it was a good idea. IMO opinion, I'd rather have a bunch of pop left over than candy.

Oh ya, it has been said that razor blades in food was basically a myth and that it very, very rarely happens.... well not this year. Some psycho put a utility blade in a youngsters candy. You gotta wonder about people sometime.
