Hey guys,
Been a while! Hope your all well.
I've pulled the finger out and recorded a little tune. Geez i'm rusty but it's good to get back into it.
Anyway, It's called "The Money's no good", It's in my profile
The vox ran a little hot in mix down (sounded fine in the recording)

Mar 12, 2007 06:07 pm Thx TC!
Good to be back :)
Mar 12, 2007 06:16 pm Great song, Bleak! Acoustic guitar is well=played and well-recorded. Vocal sounds as good as anything I've heard. Nice cash register sound you snuck in there!
If this is rusty, I can't wait to hear you recording as a well-oiled machine!
Of course, once in your profile I had to go through some of your back-catalog. You've got some great tunes in there! Great to hear "Hangar 19" again. We rock, don't we?!?!?!

Mar 12, 2007 06:24 pm Hey, Thanks GJ!
I'm still known to chuck on Hanger 19 every now and again. That was an awsome experiance doing that with everyone.
Cheers for the props on this cheeky little number.
Love the cash register :)
Mar 12, 2007 07:14 pm That's a beautiful sounding guitar. Great playing and singing, too.
And yeah, the cash register...:) That's awesome.
Thumbs up.

Mar 13, 2007 02:39 am Great song Bleak, and a great sound on the acoustic & vocals as well. I don't think they are too hot at all. Good to see ya back and with some kickin' music no less. :)

Mar 16, 2007 09:54 pm Woah, sweet tune indeed Bleak. I loved it, reminded me a little of an MTV unplugged show I saw once. Kind of Alice in Chains sounding in places. And I mean that as a compliment. I do like your vocals on this one as usual, but there is something a bit more powerfull about them this time.
I think it sounds pretty dang good as is, though I noticed it seemed to lean a little heavy to the right in the mix and on my meters as well. I might try re-downloading it to see if maybe the DL bunked the file up.
This one is going on the next cruising in the cars CD for sure.

Mar 19, 2007 04:16 pm Strangely this weekend I was working on a recording which was my first time tracking an accoustic and that was a Martin aswell - beautiful sounds.
Nice balance between the powerful voice and heavier guitar, realy got a stomping feel to it. Way to go . There is just something about this type of accoustic work.

Mar 20, 2007 10:39 pm Thanks for the comments guys!
Till i get my bass sorted out i'm going to do more acoustic stuff!
Maybe we should all do a HRC unplugged thing :)
Good to hear i'm getting on the 'Cruising in the car' Cd Noize :)
Mar 22, 2007 02:28 am I don't have anything to add beyond the comments above --- except that this really kicks! Awesome song. Love the ending chord run...that slightly atonal stuff always gets me.
Good to hear something from you again.

Mar 24, 2007 11:37 pm Hey Bleak, your other tunes were already on the cruisin CD version 1. Hanger 19 has gotten rave reviews from many passers by when we have it cranked up as has Little One. Lots of peeps ask if that is Crash Test Dummies. I just tell em its Bleak and they give me the odd look.

Mar 29, 2007 10:18 am Noize, Sorry about the late response.
That's awsome to hear that you have some of my stuff on Noize FM. That means a lot!
I get odd looks over here too! Just not from my music regretfully
