Due to our house fire last dec, we lost our piano, and with insurance going towards other, more important stuff, we figured we'd have to pass on replacing it, or wait until we found a deal.
My drummer buddy just found a give-away in very good shape yesterday. I just gotta pick it up, but it's only an hour away, and between my bud and myself, we can get it home.
I'm pretty jazzed, as I play (a little), and my son was learning stuff on it (11 yrs old) plus my 9yr old daughter. Hopefully I can pick it up this weekend.
Just figured I'd share a little good news with y'all.

Dec 01, 2005 07:25 pm Piano rocks. Free pianos rock even more! It's amazing how many relatively quality, albeit beat up, upright pianos you cand find for sub $500.

Dec 01, 2005 11:08 pm It's in gaylord, the guy's got another one he says they want to get rid of too, it's in kalkaska in storage. the one in his house is supposed to be pretty ornate, with wood carvings, and reliefs and such. Should be nice.
He says one pedal is broken, but I'm thinking it's worth the risk.
