Wow, that is stunning. And it sounds like it wasnt all that easy for him to finish either. That is probably my favorite Rush tune, or one of them. Very accurate too I might add.

Yeah I can't imagine how much time it took to sync up all of the air drumming to the actual tune. And yes Noize, it does seem very accurate.

The character movement is a little stiff, but its cool how the cymbals all react to being hit, and the hi-hat work was great as well.

Jeezuz Rush and anything related to them bores the hell out of me.

Can't say I've ever been a big fan either. They're all certainly very talented but their music has never inspired me much.

You know, I was thinking the same thing about Bela Fleck and the Flecktones today. One of their songs came on the radio and I realized that even though all of the band members are extremely talented, I've never heard a song of theirs that was interesting to me at all. It's just supermarket music to me...that jazz fusion stuff. Even the hook was boring to me, and I couldn't hum it even right after I heard it.

That's a pretty impressive animation to say the least!

I've never cared for Rush, but Neil Peart is one heck of a drummer. Thank God it was an imstrumental though, If Geddy would have opened his mouth, I couldn't of made it thru the song. :D

That made me laugh old-dog. My daughter is a huge No Doubt fan, but Gwen Stefani - at times - just sounds like Geddy Lee to me!

Tadpui: Bela Fleck - Jazz-fusion on a banjo! Wonder why they've had no hits! I agree, they're fabulous musicians (Victor Wooten is great), but I can't listen to too much.

Same with Stanley Clark, John Patitucci etc. very good, but I can't get through a whole CD.

Was good animation, though.

I'd like to see him tackle Prairie Prince, or Matt Abst.

Yeah, Gwen Stefani, as a singer (which is different than performer) I don't really think is that good, that being said, Gwen Stefani, as my personal toy, would be an entirely different matter...

lol yeah. Gwen Stefani: personal nude trampoline jumper would also be so much better than Gwen Stefani: pop singer!

TallChap: I saw Victor Wooten's solo act open for Dave Matthews Band a couple of months ago. He's the epitome of this brand of artist. He's simply amazing to watch play the bass. But his songs were absolutely terrible! I was astounded at how bad a couple of the songs were. His opening song featured the hook "My name is Victor"...and it was a song/rap that was all about how he plays the bass really well. Yikes.

Well, if it's gonna be trampoline jumping I'd prefer to see somebody with a chest, but hey, I'm not a picky guy.

Take a look at some newer pics of Gwen Stefani, dB-Wan. I think she may have some medical bills in her mailbox......

Tadpui: Ever heard the Vital Tech Tones? Stunning musicianship. Victor Wooten again.
Never made it to the end of the CD.

On a side note, I was listening to Steely Dan's "Kid Charlemagne" the other day. Chuck Rainey on bass. Stunning playing, but he absolutely plays the song. It's the song that matters.

"My name is Victor" hahahahahahahahah

Tad, ya Bela is pretty kool for just one tune, Sinister Minister that is the only oen that ever made tha radio. Except for the Sesame Street stuff on TV.

Gwen Stefani, um, ya, on a trampoline, or is a trampoline? Either way it works in my book.

TallChap, indeed Kid Charlemagne is one of my favorites. I dont think Steely Dan made a record that almost every tune didnt make the radio. So that says something about that band. Even if ya dont much care for em.

mental hi five there Noize, Sinister Minister is actually the only song of theirs I've ever really liked! The version from Live Art, with the bass solo? That's the one I remember. One of my college roommates had that CD and would play it from time to time.

Tadpui, yep I gotta agree with ya. That version is much better then the studio cut. Wooten excells on it for sure. And if ya ask me, he is the reason the tune is what it is.
