So dB...I've taken the plunge...now what do I do if I want to post a song for HRC members to help appraise?
Cheers,
BM

Dec 03, 2004 06:42 pm BM, once db gets you registered you'll have a link under your profile that says music management. Once there you can upload a song. It'll probably take db an hour or two to move you over to the PRO side.
But let me be the first to welcome you. Holler.
Dec 03, 2004 07:03 pm hehehe, you underestimate me coolo, once I get the email it now takes about 2 minutes.
It's all ball bearings these days...
Dec 03, 2004 07:12 pm hehehe...
Thanks for the welcome Coolo, but I have to say that HRC Pro is for my son...so I registered pro to my sons name...colonel_sanders.
Did that get through to you dB? When I registered my sons username? Although I used my email because I am registered at PayPal and because I hates my sons computer because its full of so much crap...and we can't seem to stop spamming and stuff. I don't have that problem on my computer.
Cheers,
BM
Dec 03, 2004 07:15 pm Yup it got through
cuz in his profile I saw he had a blog and music page
:D
Dec 03, 2004 07:22 pm Cool...thanks presley.
Cheers and bedunkt,
BM :-)
Dec 03, 2004 07:29 pm bedankt;):D

Dec 04, 2004 12:11 am Ya, I've gotta join in too.
Your not a bad addition for a geel. Understand the gravity of the comment. My marriage proposal consisted of "your alright". Good as it gets, I guess!
Warm Welcome!
Dec 04, 2004 01:01 am Well Walt..you'd fit in well here in NZ, we are masters of understatement...:-)
And Jason and vdale...thanks too...its nearly 7pm here and my son is having a bit of a problem with the mix of his first song to post.
He mixed in Cubase SL in 24 bit and then MP3s of course are in 16. So the mix is compressed and you can't actually hear the quality of his voice. And there are a couple of other tweaks that could have been done...but he's trying hard...to get it posted before leaving tomorrow.
So once thats done I'll have a little tipple myself...but at the moment..I'm havin' a coke with y'all.
Cheers again to ya's,
BM :-)

Dec 09, 2004 09:55 pm Hey BM, congrats on getting your son into the Pro side. I cant wait to hear some of his stuff.
Dec 09, 2004 10:04 pm Thanks Noize...yah..he's looking forward to it...he feels happy with what he's achieved to date...but feels its as far as he can go without further advice.
I'm no real help to him anymore...other than keeping his seat warm here at HRC.
It also means my time here is coming to an end too...can't hang at the same place as your mother y'know.
Cheers Noize,
BM :-)

Dec 09, 2004 11:52 pm Hey wolfman, HRC pro has some cool features (some of which get used more than other by those of us who go pro). However, I don't want to speak for everyone else, but for me (and I think many others who are pro) it is more about supporting this community than what I get out of the pro status. Basically, I was so happy at the advice and info I got here, that I wanted to support this institution so that I may continue to learn, and hopefully others will have the same opportunity to learn. That being said, I'm definitely glad I joined. Plus it makes sharing songs easy, and the collaboration function is great!
Dec 10, 2004 08:24 am Ditto what Coolo said..that, and my own avatar!!!
Hehehe...
Seriously, I done it to help oot as being a webmaster myself, I know websites dont run for free, neither does web space come for free. Add to that the advice element and I dont mind the payment as its affordable per year...
So...go for it.
Coco.

Dec 10, 2004 10:20 am I went PRO to sorta pay up for all the advice you good folks give ALONG with giving what advice I can give...
A little late on the ball but I now understand what it takes to hold a site...so I am glad I did it..
Dec 10, 2004 10:21 am yeah, sites don't build and maintain themselves do they Jason ;-)

Dec 10, 2004 10:40 am you were only 4 off the perfect 10...or are we not doing a private joke?
Dec 10, 2004 10:47 am private joke, of which I am not proud :(
Dec 10, 2004 12:09 pm I joined HRC Pro so that I could have a Packer helmet as my avatar...a lot of good that did!
Seriously, I like to support the things that I believe in, like this forum. Right now, music plays a major part in my life (outside of work and family) and it wouldn't be the same without HRC! The advice, the collabs, but most importantly the friendship and camaraderie...
It would still be worth it at twice the price!

Renewal price, $48 a year...starting today...

Dec 10, 2004 01:54 pm I can't afford that so I am suggesting the same $24 dollare rate for renewal and the icon for "HRC Semi-Pro" under my name...
Dec 10, 2004 04:00 pm It would be the best $48 I ever spent!
Dec 10, 2004 04:08 pm Hey, I'll be efter a 50% rebate on the $48 on account of my ice cream melting in transit :-D !!

Dec 16, 2004 03:19 am Well I agree that if you want to get quality nothing really is for free and if you want something to be around when you need it then supporting it is the only way to go, and the info I have already received is worth waaay more that $24 and I wasn't even Pro,, that is until just a few moments ago:), I guess it takes a little while to get on, but I'm happy to now be a part of the Pro group,,Thanks!!!

Dec 18, 2004 07:36 pm Hey everyone...
Thanks for the warm welcome:)
It is nice to be a part of the Pro team, I don't exactly understand what it's all about I just believe in supporting something that is good for everyone, If you look at my profile you will see that music has been a part of my life for a long time, had to take some time off, long story, but back in the 70's I was leader or member of a few bands, Jazz, rock, R&B, my Grandparents and Parents are accomplished musicians themselves so music has always been my life. AS soon as I get all this midi stuff figured out I will be laying down some tracks for you to hear, but until then I just enjoy being back in music and creating some tunes, so I look forward to being a active part of the team..Take care all,and again thanks for the greetings!!!!
