figured id post this in relation to the thread on doing covers. i think if theyre done right and worked in well.. theyre great. it shows people a bit of where you pull your influences.
that said.. i just completed my cover of cabaret voltaire's 'dont argue'.

When I was mentioning bands that do covers... I was refering to bands that play mostly covers and throw in an original tune maybe 1 time a set... A typical road band situation where the band is usually being payed (yes, I said payed) pretty well.
I think your refering to a band that does mostly original music and throws in a cover usually done in a way that really reflects the bands style (ie Van Halen doing pretty woman sounds nothing like Roy doing it)... In this sense, A band doing 1 or 2 covers in their entire show can be a big plus!
