Hi,
I bought this one second hand a few months ago, after a rush of blood to the head.
I installed to Win 98SE PIII etc, and this card confounds me. I had it working beautifully for a few days then static, crashes etc occured. I installed the updates (circa 2000) but not all installed. Now this thing refuses to install properly (reformatted hard drive etc) and is contrary to say the least. My SB Live value seemed to be more useful.
Before I throw this $300 lemon away, does anyone have any tips or clues as to whats going on? I am a tweaker and I record guitar and keyboard using Cool Edit 2 and Cakewalk Pro 9. I looked at some sites about this card, but they were posted way back in 2000. cheers
Fred

Yes, he is reffered to a soundcard. I used to own a Guillamot XP Theatre Home ages ago - I spent a bloody fortune on it, and it broke after 2 months. I sent it off to be repaired, it took 2 months to come back, and they hadn't fixed it. So I sent it off again, except this time it never came back. Their tech support denied all knowledge of recieving it and so I was completly boned.

Just to tie up this story, Guillamot are a big pile of horse feaces and should be avoided IMHO.

sorry to not be much help.

Guillamot, sounds French, and since I'm half French. I can say, If it's not a wine, a food, of a fighter jet, you should probably stay away. Ha!

The french make IntuitiveMX and it's a pretty decent little app. The translations aren't the best, but the app itself is pretty cool.
