Apr 28, 2003 07:21 am Excelent foundation Flame. Your right. It cries for something on top. There's a lot of room for weaving.

Apr 28, 2003 07:30 am cool, thanks for listening guys..i wasnt sure if it was really cool or really pants...
fyi jamie, the bleepy noises are slowed down cartoon robot noises that i downloaded from somewhere - ill send em over IM to ya if you get on your messenger. the one at the start is a harp sample, which again i stole from somewhere. it was to high in quality originally so i sampled it down to about 10 bits to make it fit in a little better with the other parts.
thanks for listening!

Apr 28, 2003 07:31 am now ya come to mention it, the quality is pretty poor through the mp3 stream isnt it....might have to try that again!
Apr 28, 2003 12:56 pm i don't think there's anything you can do about it. I think it's from NWR's site. It garbles it before it streams it to us. The funny thing is, before I started coming here I would have never noticed something like that.

Apr 29, 2003 12:15 pm I agree with Walt on this one, you have plenty of room for weaving some stuff in and out on that track. I like the simple click track you have goin behind it, what was that sample? And I to like the beepy noizes, they are in there just right.

Apr 29, 2003 12:26 pm the 'click track' is actually me clapping, looped, played through mda's 'combo' guitar amp simulator with a load of reverb on top for a kinda lofi garage sound. simple as that!
cheers for listening people!

Apr 29, 2003 10:47 pm Sweet, I thought it might be a clap but wasnt too shure.
Apr 29, 2003 11:34 pm Cool, I hear a little Oasis going on with the vocal... Which is really cool... you could build on that with some harmony
Your on to something here

Apr 30, 2003 12:34 pm i like doing liam impersonations - its the 'sunshine' bit that i rip off. it was only a rough vocal part so i wsnt too worried, i'll do it properly eventually...theres actually gonna be some high harmony parts from the second verse onwards - so ya read my mind there!
cheers for listening!

May 04, 2003 12:27 pm mp3 would probably do it...im not too worried abut a crystal clear sound quality on this one. ya could post just that guitar part (preferably the whole track so i can drop it straight into the existing mix and get it all in place!) on NWR and ill d/l it from there. plan?
drop me a line whatever happens.
cheers crash!

May 12, 2003 08:30 am im getting bored of doing everything myself and being limited by only doing what i can, or doing what im used to doing, so i wanna be surprised a little - which is where everyone else comes in!
May 12, 2003 11:30 pm i really want to lay down a bass track for you sometime. i'm serious. i'd love to work with you dude.

May 13, 2003 08:36 am ill have a think - ive got a few songs on the go which havent done bass on yet - probably for the best seeing as im a pretty poor bassist! let me have a think and ill find something that could use some garrett magic!
May 31, 2003 02:18 am The vocals are very John Lennon, early seventies. I think there great.

May 31, 2003 02:22 am WOW! youre the first person to ever notice that that was the kinda effect i was tring to rip off! those arnt even the finished vocals...the finished ones will be even more lennon!
big respect for spotting that dude, thats made my day!
