not sure about the "Monitor Mixer" disappearing from Vegas Video's list of wav devices, but i do know that it might help to have your Delta Control Panel set to have outs 1/2 assigned as "Monitor Mixer" so that you can hear both the input and output on all channels simultaneously. sorry if i'm not much help :(

Bruno, did it dissapeared form the actual panel you see for the Delta, or just from the recording software? If it disappeared form the software, you just need to uninstall the drivers for the Delta and then reinstall them. If it disappeared from the Deltas control panel, you will need to uninstall the drivers, then pull the card from its PCI slot with the PC shutdown of coarse. Then reboot without it, shutdown and reinstall the card and reboot.

I would also recomend you go to the M-Audio website www.maudio.com/ and download the most recent drivers and their uninstaller before you procede with the process.

Let me know if you need anymore help with this.

Help. This problem seems to be unsolvable. When I set Outs 1/2 to monitor mixer no sound comes out of it.

Well, you haven't answered some questions yet. Did it disappear from your recording app, or from your Delta Control panel that rides in the taskbar.

Did you go to www.m-audio.com/ and download the newest drivers?

those channels aren't "muted" are they? on the main tab on the Delta Control Panel, where all the level meters and sliders are, make sure that channel isn't muted, or that any other channels are soloed

Buno, did you uninstall the drivers and then re-install them? This can fix a problem like that in a hurry. Windows sometimes will take over a driver and not let it do what it needs to. Are you getting sound out of the Delta without the moniter mixer on?

I am sorry to say but we cant really help you solve a problem with the vague referances you have given us.

the problem is as simple as it sounds. when I switch the 1/2 outs to monitor mixer nothing comes out. I have been trying everuthing to understand and solve the problem. Yes, I did uninstalled and reinstaled the latest drivers but it still doesnt work. Now I think I will reinstall windows and everything else to see what can I do. I just cant understand how could it happen with no visible cause. I am really annoyed.

is the Delta a new toy you're just trying out for the first time, or have you had it for awhile and this suddenly happened?

i'm assuming you're monitoring off Outs 1/2 right? And nothing's muted or soloed? Describe in detail what you're trying to do, so I can better understand. Is the audio software outputting to 1/2 or 3/4?

OK lets go back a few steps Bruno. What software program are you recording with, and what version of windows are you using? Answer that and we can go from there. I have tried in Sonar, Cubase and Intuative MX, and I can use the moniter mixer without any problem, I cant find a way to force it not to work. I am running win XP Pro.
