Quite simple.

It depends on which version of Windows you are running - but the instructions are pretty simialr across the board.

Open up the Control Pannel

Open up Sound and Audio Devices

Select the "Audio" Tab

You should now have three "sections" - Audio device, Recording device and MIDI device. Under Audio device, select the required output and that's it - you're set.

jues.

It just doesnt work for the cd players such as windows media and real one. It just works for sounds played by windows, such as mp3 and windows sounds.

I run XP Pro, and I switch back and forth between sound cards all the time. It comes in handy when I am listening to a playlist and still need to hear an email alarm or something. I will run windows sounds on one card an crank it up louder then the CD playing or what not.

nobody answerwed his question. as far as I know, under normal conditions "no", you can't. The main reason is that the Delta44 lacks the connector for the typical analog cable that connects a CD-ROM to a soundcard. 90% of the CD player apps out there use that analog connection.

BUT...

There is a way however, as a few CD player apps out there (I use ATI's multimedia player RESMNGR.EXE that came with my videocard) that use the *data* cable, the IDE ribbon, as it's audio source. If you can find a media player that uses the data cable instead of the analog one then it will work.

So Bruno, go down load Winamp or Sonique. both of those apps will let you select the Delta. good call Jamie.

That's a good point Jaimie, I presumed that Bruno was running WinXP which uses Digital Extraction as default.
