It's my eighth anniversary today!
Longest relationship of my life, and just as good as day one...Actually, better.
Together 11, married eight.
Phew! Here's to 'er indoors.
Out for a nice dinner tonight (after unhanding the "loot"), and a very nice bottle of Bubbly in the 'fridge.

Jun 03, 2008 12:06 pm That is awesome man!! Congratulations for bucking the trend.
My 9th anniversary is on thursday. That will put us together as a couple for 12 years now.
Jun 03, 2008 12:14 pm Congrats Tallchap!
I guess that every one's wife wanted to be a June bride.
Mine is at the 29th of this month.
10 years for me. Together for 11. Same time as you Tallchap. I just think that I knew she was the one a little faster.
Jun 03, 2008 12:17 pm Happy anniversary, have a good night:)

Jun 05, 2008 12:50 pm Man, that's why everyone is so nice here. We have not been bittered by women recently :)
Anyway, today is the day. 9 years and counting. Got a nice dinner reservation and then going to watch "The Stangers" afterwards. Thankfully my wife is a sucker for horror flicks so I won't have to watch 27 dresses or some crap.

Jun 06, 2008 08:42 am Oh man, hang on to that one! I think every other channel on my box is lifetime. Gag! The part that is a stich about the whole thing is that there are just as many gory murders on lifetime as a good comedy like Night of the living dead or whatever, only they all sit around and whine about it. Compare feelings for hours. Good grief, get out the AR and stir **** up! Come on!

Jun 06, 2008 03:13 pm Thanks for all the support and kind words, my friends.
And I got a bottle of 21 year old Scotch!
Congrats to us all for keeping the 'home fires burning.' Quite an achievement all.
And amazingly 'er indoors and her peers out there are so understanding (to a point) of us all futzing around with recording.

Jun 06, 2008 10:03 pm Yep, its funny to think that I actually had pretty much walked away from music for a little over 6 years after meeting my wife. Although the occasional jam or the sneak out to work in another studio happened once in awhile I stayed away for my own good. Soon she figured out that it was what I loved to do and bought me a cheesy keyboard and guitar to putz with. Little did she know way back then just what her approval would mean in the long run. That was along time ago, and lots of music ago as well.
Although she doesn't participate in it she lets me do my thing without much complaining, and I'm thankful for that.
Jun 06, 2008 10:48 pm Right there with ya Noize.
Although, my wife is a better musician then I.
She can play backwater blues better then anyone here in Philly.
She also allows me any whim that I can come with.
She is the best.
Tallchap, 21 year old Scotch. Nice.
What did you get her?
Jun 07, 2008 07:32 am Did you get her two glasses:)
Jun 07, 2008 10:18 am Six years in July for me and the marvelous Tambra. I paid a lot of dues on the planet of women before I found this gem.
When you finally find the correct mate...
Well, I won't get goopy on ya.
Hang on to 'er indoors. Even outdoors.

Jun 11, 2008 08:28 am HAPPY 8TH OH TALL ONE !! MAny More to you and her.
It was twenty years this past Feb. 13. for my wife and I. We met in '85 and three years later, I married my best friend. She's got 29 yrs and 10 mths with GTE/Verizon. Makes over, well, let's say she can fill her tank on two hours pay at $5.00 gal.
I knew the minute I saw her, it was like I'd known her all my life. She lets me do what is in me to do. Great gal.

She was pretty upset with that I'm guessing. Just kidding, I did the same :)
