O.K., I run Cubase SX3 so Groove Agent was a consideration but I have a feeling that it'll extra CPU Hoggish. Battery Seems Cool, and Others on this forum said they've used BFD. Any thoughts between the three? I really want something with good functionality, somewhat easy to use, quick writing layout to maintain creative flow. Price isn't my primary concern here.

Oct 19, 2006 08:25 pm I use BFD and I love it. The only thing is that its not really an easy plug and play set up. The drum sounds are raw, unprocessed sounds. They are recorded extremely well but you have to apply your own compression and effects.
I have tried a demo version of Battery and those samples seem to need a little less work.

Oct 19, 2006 08:44 pm get a good sampler, record your own drum sounds, and play em with a a midi keyboard. it's nify. I haven't used any of the three though, so I don't know man.
Oct 19, 2006 08:49 pm Thanks, good thoughts by both. I'm a drummer but do not currently have a place to set up the DW's or record them for that matter, or honestly, that would definately be my choice. I'm very keen at picking out "machined" parts and sorta wanta go a route that allows shaping whithout too much "bio-machine" feeling if you know what I mean. Aaaah the dilema. Ponder I must. Thanks guys.

Oct 19, 2006 09:30 pm Honestly Battery is probably the best bet for getting into it quickly and easily. The interface is very straight forward and easy to use. Sample loading is as well very straight and easy to do.
Oct 19, 2006 10:11 pm yup, my producer buddy and I just came to that conclusion. Will be proud owner within 1 week. Ordering tommorrow. Thanks Noize, for the confirmation.

Oct 20, 2006 09:45 am Try Groove Agent 2. Does all the work for you. Like having your own personal drummer, with a hundred drum kits, who can play - in time - in any style, and any tempo, in any time signature.
No drooling, no mad girlfriend, no hissy fits, no turning up drunk, no "hey lads, I've got a song."
Everything you want from a drummer!
HAHAHAHAHAHA (Did I offend any drummers out there?.....er...sorry... or something...bass player humour)
Oct 20, 2006 10:10 am Damn, I can't even hide my drummerness on the web. LOL.
