I believe that today is someone's 39th birthday! Another year under the belt, and it's got to be better than the alternative!

Have a great day! Get out there and enjoy yourself! You deserve it!

And, by the way, thanks for making HRC a great place to hang out!

Happy Birthday!!

Jim

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the thoughts.

Yesterday I had to renew my driver license, first time I have had a license WITHOUT the corrective lens requirement...thank God for Lasik.

Funny how I get more love here than at home...thus far my family has said nothing and my wife actually planned to go out for drinks with one of her girl friends...WTF? I am totally in a funk here, kinda unsure how to feel. I totally don't get into the "another year closer to death" thing, but the lack of respect I have gotten lately is really pissing me off.

On the upside I am teaching kids Kenpo classes for 2 1/2 hours today, and nothing make you have fun and feel good like teaching kids classes, I have went to teach in the worst moods, not wanting to go, but leave the class laughing and high fiving the kids...it's great therapy.

I know what you mean...it seems that the older you get the less your birthday means to anybody anymore. It's almost like you're taken for granted, and nobody wants to be taken for granted.

I finally decided that when my birthday rolls around each year I'm going to spend the time doing whatever the **** I want to do. Sleep till noon, take a nap at three, play my guitar all night, whatever. It's the ONE day out of the year that is MY time.

Take some time for yourself, and have a great day!

Yeah, well, birthdays on the whole have never meant much since I turned 19, but the simple acknowledgement is nice, and kids at least seem to think they are fun, my oldest said happy birthday to me right after I finished my last post :-)

Yeah, I told my wife I was teaching the kids classes tomorrow since we have four fighters fighting in Wisconsin today so he has travel and such to deal with, gotta have the fighters there by 5. Then she is all ticked off I will be there all afternoon...it's like, well, she is going out for drinks with her girlfriend in the evening and spending all day in the garage sale she is having this weekend, so, hell with it, I enjoy teaching the kids, so like you said, ME time.

But then, me and my wife are never so close to divorce as the time of year she has the damn garage sale, I HATE it when she does that...the one thing I honestly HATE.

Have a happy bidet dB!

Hey maybe they're all planning a surprise party for you and acting aloof is part of the plan ;-D

I knew somebody would say that, but I doubt it...she knows I would hate a suprise party almost as much as I hate the garage sale she insists on having every year...I'm thinkin I may just drag the kids to the gym tonight and open it up and let people work out if they want to, hold an impromptu class or something...

thanks for the wishes everyone, it's good to be loved :-)

Told ya I gotta get back on here :-)

Yeah I just haven't had too much recording related on my mind lately....no band or anything (my avatar is now WAAAYYY outdated)...other interests coming along. Still though, I plan on renewing my PRO soon so hopefully I'll be a little more involved in the year to come.

Yeah, I was only half surprised to see ya...I was at your sonix lux site yesterday and noticed the matest news was from nov 2005 or something like that...sorry to hear ya got nothing going on, that makes two of us...I have way too much work, and little of it is audio related...doing more web stuff and MMA stuff than anything...

Either way, good to see you at HRC.

Hey dB, just got home from work.

Happy D-Day!!!

Give me a buzz as Mary and Ray are up at the lake. I'll drag a couple beers over, or take ya out for one or two.

Got the CD of coco's concert done as well. Did one in Hi Matt. Not sure it is any better then the regular avi file, but it was worth a shot.

Thanks for all the well wishes. It actually turned out OK...I taught kids karate for 2 1/2 hours and it was a blast, all the kids were great, my girl (one of the higher ranking kids) helped lead part of the white belt class and handled herself like a true leader. Then I came home and besided to take the family to Old Chicago for dinner where I indulged in a couple black and tans and a Summit Pale, the wife then took the wheel, we went to Menards to get some new front lights for our house, got home, Noize2u stopped by with more Summit Pales, we had a couple beers and a couple laughs and I pointed out the relevent players in the "red neck neighbor" drama), he took off, I saw neighbors out chatting, so, with a solid buzz going strolled over to shoot the breeze, then came home, passed out, and now have been hanging the last of the new lights with a hell of a headache :-)

me as well, good to hear the kids did good up in Wisconsin!

my father is such a pack rat, the words 'garage sale' have NEVER been uttered in the house (although me and mom have conspired behind his back a few times).....we're really turnin' into rednecks, we've got a big screne tv, two dead cars, and a couch in the yard!!! hahaha i laugh everytime i see it, hell we've only been tennessee 11 years, and now all the redneck jokes arn't so 'stupid' sounding....but i digress

i definately agree with the ME time stuff, i'm gonna hafta keep that in mind this time around.

cheers dan, and yeah, thanks for HRC!

hehehe, yeah, well, we all have a little red neck in us...my instructor keeps telling me to stop calling our neighbor "the red neck neighbor" cuz he said it looks bad for all red necks...and he IS a right-wing, gun nut, red neck and proud of it. :-D

It's a pleasure hosting HRC for all you guys, you guys are the ones that make it great.

not sure if I mentioned this, but I also just passed my vision test to renew my drivers license WITHOUT the corrective lens restriction...w00t! God bless Lasik!

First DL I have ever had without the restriction.

Getting older, but getting better!

Dude, that has to be the worst bands I've ever heard, or seen .

I just have one question...

Why would anyone make a band like this a reality ?
