About Gog

More info over there... http://www.myspace.com/feraldrollery
Gog, Feral Drollery's vocalist, bassist, programmer, began his career in early 1998 playing bass for local Portland band, Taper. Gog played bass on Taper's release, Broken Toys. Toward the end of Taper's run, Gog started his first solo project called FDA in 1999. This resulted in the self-produced album, The Truth About ****, the singles “Dead Whore” (written by Nobi Hosaka), and “A Swarm of Locusts” in 2000.

FDA experimented for a few years, changing the name to Hyphen in 2002, releasing a number of singles, including a metal version of Kyu Sakamoto's “Sukiyaki” (Ue o Muite Arukou) and the instant classic, “PDM” (Power Dyke Mullet).

That same year Gog temporarily joined the Austin, Texas based band, Assnipple, assuming the stage name, Limp Nipple. Gog still does some web work for Assnipple (now called Unitard).

In 2003 Gog discovered another band from L.A. called Hyphen and had to change the name to Feral Drollery. That year Gog did some stage and camera work with the band Ghost Parade on their tour around Halloween. Feral Drollery's first show was in Medford and the second was in Cottage Grove. Feral Drollery has since played a few house parties and is a regular at the Monster in the City Variety Show at Porky’s Pub.

Feral Drollery is a fresh solo band whose style is reminiscent of such bands as The Residents, Mr. Bungle, etc. This 'one-man-band' consists of singer/bassist/programmer, Gog, and is occasionally joined by guest musicians. One might describe it as an 'avant-funk-metal' sound... A little metaly, a lot funky, definitely weird, dumb, dorky; Feral Drollery will appeal to an eclectic crowd of hip, non-hip, teen to middle-aged, cynical people of good humor and a tendancy for hedonism.
