Here is an indie-pop style cover of a light acoustic love song from Death Cab for Cutie's latest album. Please comment on the mix, production, arrangement, singing, anything :) Thanks for your help and time!

Listening now. Pretty interesting. You didnt stray to far from the original. I am a big DCfC fan. It is interesting to hear how others percieve music when they dover something. I must say you did a good job. The vocals only stray out a bit in the beggining and then you have it nailed pretty much the rest of the way. I like the interesting instruments you picked as well. Simple yet effective.

I'm also a DCFC fan.

A nice sound at the start though my preference does not like the fako drums.

Your voice is remarkably similar to me, I just can't sing like this which frustrates the heck out of me.

In summary: Your vocals were excellent, the music was mixed well, there was a touch of distortion somewhere - but the drums take the edge off for me.

I like it as well. It reminds me somewhat of the postal service. I like the work of the hihats and shaker(?) going back and forth on the speakers. Vocals sound nice. Way to go.

I'm not familiar with the tune, so I can't comment on how faithful it is to the original. I enjoyed it, and I like the electronic drums. Singer has a very nice voice, I like the effects you placed on the vocals too. Very clean recording. Enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed that. Don't know the song or the band. Drums don't sound good but production overall is great. Great voice as well.

Thanks for all of the comments, guys. I appreciate it. I kind of like the drums as being purely computer-made but I will look for better samples. Those are standard 808 retro samples.

Oh, and yes, that was a shaker :)
