Drum Overheads in a small room

Now that I've finished it, my tracking rooom has turned out really small, way smaller than I'm used to. It's like 6X7 and the ceiling is only about 6 feet half feet or so.

Since the room is so small, I used more sound foam than I would have normally because I figured there might be more sound pressure in such a small space, but I used 1 inch foam so it's not too deadening.

Anyway, I need to record drums tonight for the first time in this space and I really don't know what to do about my overheards. I usually like to have them at about 8 feet or so and about in the middle of the kit pointing in opposite directions.

I was thinking about placing them in opposite edges of the room as high up as I can. Anybody have some suggestions?

for a small room like yours I would suggest you to try to put both mics above the drumkit pointing directly down. This may avoid too many reflections from the walls. I used to record drums in a room small as yours but with no foams, only blankets and open closet doors to kill reflections. I would be glad to hear how did it sound like if you choose to try my suggestion.

good luck.
