Cubase LE newbie

Hi Guys,
I just got my Presonus Firebox that came with Cubase LE version. I am new to Cubase so was wondering if there are tutorials on how to use the product etc.
I was a Cakewalk Homestudio user but when I installed CW to my fresh computer and tried to use it with firebox sound driver I got blue screens 2 times in a row and thus I uninstalled it. So I am back to figuring out how Cubase works.Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks

what version of homestudio do you have? There really isn't any reason that shouldn't work. Be sure to have the latest updates to HomeStudio and your Firebox and see if that'll help. It'd be nice if you could just keep using what you are already familiar with.

Well, it's definately not being developed any more, but you could surely still download the available updates.

Ok where did you find this info ?
Also, think CW will not be able to use the full potential of firebox since it can record only one track at a time, so I think Cubase is the way to go. Only if there was some documentaion available. I will check if there are books for Cubase.

Well, info is common sense, any 2002 app will not be continuing to be developed since Sonar Home Studio 4 is out now (and very cool too) but updates should be downloadable from their web site still in the support section.

If you want multiple track, ya, Cubase may be the way to go...

Check your install disks that came with the Firebox and see if you don't have between 2 and 4 pdf files in a folder that have a "Getting Started", "Getting Into The Details", "VST plug-ins" and something else (title names may not be accurate and the author assumes no responsibility... etc. etc.). There might also be a "Tutorial" file of some sort on the disk. check out
www.steinbergusers.com
and go to the forums. They have a link there for "LE", but they just tell you to do the SL or SX forum...

I may be wrong, but doesn't that CW Music Creator 2002(3) only worked with WIN2000, or earlier ??? Didn't work for me when I switched to XP .

Hmm that explains it. I had CW Music Creator 2002 on Win 2k, but when I installed it on XP, it just crashed my system, so I unistalled it.
The problem with LE is that its not a product that you can buy off the shelf. Its shipped only with certain audio interfaces so theres not a lot of support.I will check www.steinbergusers.com/fo...Board=cubase_le right away.
