hey guys....due to some recent interest in my band's material (through this site and FINALLY through god knows where but attention is super cool) i am trying to figure out a secure way to send product and get paid for it. like eventually we'll have a 'store' set up on the website but right now we don't. one guy suggested he pay through pay pal, but i have no clue how that works at all.
if someone can give me some info or alternatives it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again

I see two possible options, one is PayPal, I use it it works great, they have tons of tools to use such as shopping carts and such. It is a very easy way to do it. I have had great luck with it, plus that money from your paypal account can then be spent at other online retailers that accept PayPal AND they have a "debit card" that can be used anywhere just like a credit card except it deducts the charge from your paypal account, which is neat, that is how I bought my new video card :-)

The other option is COD. Someone requests a CD and you mail it to them COD, so before the postal guy gives gives them the package they need to pay him for it. The downside beeing it will increase the cost of your CD by about 50% I believe unless they are ordering many.

That said, PayPal is a great online purchasing system. I use it and many of my clients use it and they just pay me by transfering funs from their PayPal to my PayPal...it works really well.

I agree with dB. I just read an article about PayPal, and they are rated at or near the top for online money tranfer, and buying.
