This is Colonel Sander's first mix of the band I'm in called Amperzahn(I'm on Keys and Backing vocals)... What do you think?
I think he has done well, I can hear everything really well in the mix :-) cept the 2nd piano bit ;-)
and also I know our timing as a band isnt that great at the moment. We'll be working on that.

Just got a chance to listen Michelle. First off, I like the tune. Very well put together, timing isnt that off by the way. I like the vocal mix pretty well, could maybe be tweaked a tiny bit to add some power to the backing vox, but that is a matter of taste really. The drums came through nicely as did the bass and guitars. All sitting pretty well in the mix as well. I do hear some differances in the piano parts. They seem to come and go on occasion, but again I'm not really sure if it is supposed to be at constant level or raising and lowering in level throughout the tune.

All in all, very good tune indeed. And mix wise really good job as well CS.

A side note, I'm a big fan of vocals recorded with a little bit of the natural sibalance left in and it sounds like the lead vox have just that right touch on them. I'm glad to see some people are starting to not worry about major de-essing on every dang vocal take they record. It just takes away from the real feel of the music.
