Hi guys, the pic below show my mixer and the the link link the drum mics to the inputs used for each mike. I can do basic volume adjustment but thats it.Could anyone tell me the best way to get a good drum sound with this setup and what setting i should have each knob at. I have 2 other drum mics but no cables so i have to use only these at the moment.
I open to all types of drum sound as long as the are clean and/or powerful.
thanks

Well, given the type of mixer you have, it's gonna be rough. What you are doing now is pluggin two mic into the same channel. Channel 1 is fine, and the snare in channel two is fine, but then plugging another mic into a non-preamped input of channel two is where things get funky.

In your profile it says you have an MR8, which appears to have a couple of preamps itself...if you are recording into your computer and using CEP (getting all this from your profile) you could possibly plug the third (and possible fourth) mic into the MR8 to preamp them, and run that signal directly out into one of the stereo line channels of the mixer, then run the mixers stereo signal into your computer.

Seems kinda funky, but given the gear you have, it might be the best choice.
