well if u remember my post from b4 about a good low budget guitar u will remember i said i can't try the ones i want cause the choice is limited here and el. guitars are 3 times the price here, so my bro will buy it up there (NJ) and bring it for me when he coming....well i am having a hard time deciding between these www.rondomusic.net/st1000.html and this www.rondomusic.net/al2900.html ....well lets start with the Strat one.. pros: good variation of tones to choose from, volume knob is in good position, "*Three staggered pole Alnico V single coil pickups with fiber bobbin and American made single conductor braided 18 gauge wire provide the professional sound you are looking for!
*High voltage pots with brass shafts for reduced noise" ..lol....Cons: well only 1 con basically...i am afraid that it will pick up too much RFI, i could turn off my (visual)monitor while recording but will it pick up from the pc? ill be 6 feet away from the pc with my back turned to it..or i could go in the other room.................ok now with the les paul styled one....Pros: body shape, it might be more comfortable to me, as i acustom playing a classical acoustic. Humbucking, arch top. cons: might be less variaty of tones than the strat one, the wiring (and maybe the pickups too) is a step lower than the strat one.............please help me decide.....thanks

Well guitar choice is a really personal thing. I can tell you that although I love a strat they do make a lot of noise. Atleast the ones in the price range we are talking about. Do some shopping around and make sure you find whats right for you. I can also tell you that I bought this Ibanez a few years ago and had a lot of luck with it. www.musiciansfriend.com/s...ase_pid/519404/
and I just bought one of these that I am in love with. www.samash.com/catalog/sh...&GroupCode=
Just make sure you try out a bunch of guitars and get what feels best to you. My suggestions and tastes may be all wrong for you. Good luck!

I'm an idiot. I read your post but must have had a brain fade. I just reread and saw where you said you couldnt try out a lot of guitars. Man that makes things stickey! Have you played either of the guitars you listed before to know if you may like them?

those that u showed me is not really my taste i am more of a clean player but will use distortion occasionally.....i am choosing between these 2.....i recognize tho that this "strat" has similar features to the fender strats for 600+ dollars and its the price of a mexi strat...its the noise i kinda worried about tho, i wont be using a amp it will go straight to my preamp, and as i said ill be like 6 feet away from the pc with my back turned when recording and with my (visual)monitor off....so it will be hardly or not getting any RFI....

well i read reviews and from reference to that, its some what equivalent to a classic US strat and i heard a strat and i played a strat like yamaha and i played a other guitar with humbuckers...and i talked to a couple of people about those agile guitars and read all the reviews i could find....
