That's so stupid. Yet when the internet is mostly made up of porn. It can simply be blocked if they just make it so the address would be like playbox.xxx or hotbabes.xxx. But NO! Let's see if we can get some more money and charge the little guys out the @$$! Screw kids seeing porn on the internet by accident!

They need to attack the problem at its source. Get the people sending spam and the spam stops. Bankrupting legitment businesses will not stop the problem.

agreed, therein lies the problem...when spammers are in many countries, using servers in different countries, relaying and redundancy all over the place it gets hard to track and prosecute.

Hell all countries can't even support fighting terrorists...how will they all agree to fight SPAM?

No ttoo long ago one of the most notorious of spammers built a new house, some anti-spam gorups found out about it and subscribed him to every catalog they could find, he was getting literally boxes of mail EVERY DAY. He turned around and tried to sue the anti-spam groups that did it. Not sure how it all came out, but I found it a funny story.

This particular spammer is reportedly responsible for about 80% of the non-porn spam you recieve, as he promised his wife long ago he'd never get into the porn thing, and supposedly never has.

Well, a good one if you don't like getting junk mail in your mailbox. Most companies like credit card companies send an envelope that is already prepaid for you to send it back to them for free. Now, I don't think they have to pay for that postage unless you actually use it. So, I take the page that has my name and address that appears in that clear window in front of the envelope, and throw that away. I take the rest and put it in that envelope, not filling it out because I don't want it. When a I fill up a Walmart bag full of them, I put them in my mailbox to send out. Make them pay some more money to send me junk and I return it.

With Telemarketers (little off topic) when you get that stupid voice message or nobody actually there, they are just seeing what time you pick up the phone. I like to randomly push the * and # buttons over and over and then you will hear the machine make some funny noises sometimes! Don't know what it does to it but I hope it shuts it down till someone has to manually fix it!
