So my band convened and thanx to all teh great info by everyone here HRC weve decided that getting a Delta1010 will be in our budget adn fulfil all of our needs. But ofcourse now we need a mixer with preamps and lineouts to jack all our mics into the card. Does anyone have any suggestions for a moderate to low priced mixer that works well with the delta 1010? Since the 10 only has 10 I/O's i guess i dont want a mixer that goes beyond that, so that should help narrow down the price? i think i need preamps for every channel, adn line outputs obviously. Do i need to look for any other specs? Any recommendations would be awesome

May 30, 2005 12:55 pm I use my Soundcraft M12 with my Delta 1010. You need a board with direct outs for every channel. That way, you can have every mic recorded independently to adjust when mixing. Course, the board isn't going to be cheap either. I know Behringer has a board with this feature that is cheaper. Someone here will know about it.

May 30, 2005 07:53 pm ahh! i've been looking for a desk with that many outputs for ages!! i was about to buy a load of preamps and a headphone amp and a million other things, but an M4 or M8 could be the answer to all my prayers....
THANKYOU!

May 30, 2005 09:54 pm No problem. I was doing the same thing, looking at those pricey rack mounts with like 8 preamps. But they make boards with direct outs that work great! Check out the Behringer one, it's cheaper I know and probably does good. I know there are some Behringer users on this site that have just as good results from their stuff. I'll look for it and post a link here.

May 31, 2005 09:15 am I've been using the yamaha mg16/4. using the channel inserts as individual outs, works well. I think there's 8 preamps on it, plus the 2 stereo main outs. I had my monitor solution cranked up, plus the gain cranked up, and heard no added noise from the board and cables.
(computer was noisy though).
I think it's still 279$us from the MF.
