Now, I read that there will soon be Amplitude for bass (actually based on Ampeg's bass amps. Mmm...). Is there anything currently available that does that? My vintage SVT and 4x10 cab is a little too bit for my apartment. Not that I play much, but it'd be nice to record some stuff with. I've used a SansAmp for bass in the past (which was great), but I'd like to explorer some other options to see whats available. Thanks! -Al

Mar 24, 2005 08:52 pm I've got a Behringer V-amp Pro which i'm happy with. They have a bass one as well but i've not tried it. Based on the Guitar one though it should be ok.
Cheap too! :)
As for Software Moddelers, Native Instruments have one called 'Guitar rig' which is amazing!
Mar 24, 2005 10:07 pm Guitar Rig is pretty cool. I've used the demo and was really impressed (however it doesn't do "clean" guitar very well...that's another post). Guitar Rig isn't really meant for bass though. Just like how you can't play a bass through a guitar amp in "real life". My bass is VERY boomy (64' Hofner "Beatle" Bass), so I feel Guitar Rig won't cut it. Thanks!
