hey everyone

while working on my as level music tech assignment at home, i began to realise i had indulged a lot of money to get good six string guitar sounds, but had completely overlooked bass!

i have two options as it stands - mic up my tiny 10 watt "drive" bass amp (which sounds awful), or di through my pod xt.

can anyone recommend any settings for a pod xt which might give me a nice, deep, woody bass sound? my project is a cover of drive by incubus.

thanks for any help, greatly appreciated.

Jon

OK, well, I used to DI my bass thru my POD v1 all the time...haven't tried it thru the POD xt yet, and prolly never will cuz I have a Bass POD xt, but I would think the greenbacks would be a good speaker model to use and perhaps the bassman head. Use an off axis 57 mic model and try it out, in my mind it sounds great :-)

The bassman is, well, the BASSman and the greenbacks are solid sounding speakers models, so it should sound pretty decent...I hope...
