I was wondering about getting har bal, but honestly I don't think it's something i need, I have the Waves Diamond bundle and a number of other plug-ins. I was hoping someone could explain what the big deal is . I'm always looking at polishing up my master but if there is a plug-in that does the same as har bal that i have ( i've not even gone through half of the plug-in I have) .

you see the EQ curve of the final mix. you can see where you have holes or peaks that should be smoothed out. it's almost impossible to work with a mix in that manner unless you are very very advanced with mixing and you have very good ears and monitor setup.

The difference between HarBal and just using the EQ plugin's you already have is that HB shows you where the problem areas are and makes it alot easier to design an EQ filter that achieves a mix that is balanced EQ wise.

I was skeptical prior to buying it as well, but I consider it one of the best tools I've bought now. They have a 30 day money back guarantee, so you've got nothing to lose. :)

Good hear from again Geoff!

I have Waves plgins also and just got Har-Bal last week. Let me say WOW. My masters have never sounded this good. The loudness matching is awesome. I say get it even if you are skeptical like oldgog said there's a 30 day money back.

It is always going to be the first step in me mastering now. It just makes my masters sound more professional and even. Everything sounds as loud and even like a CD should. It makes it where you don't have to listen to mixes 80 different times in different places just to se if it's right.
