Jan 20, 2005 05:09 pm i brought that same topic up in the "what's next for 2005" thread, it'd be nice to be able to swap pics, but i think that'll take alotta space and time on the HRC staff, so i donno.

Jan 20, 2005 05:41 pm you can put a pic in your profile
Jan 20, 2005 05:51 pm yep, what Loki said, one image can be in your profile, other than that we don't have any photo album type features and it's not very high on the list to make either as it would really not be a very productive feature to have...
Jan 20, 2005 07:19 pm Thanks for taking the time, I'll leave the photos out for now..

Jan 20, 2005 10:05 pm C_S, put one in your profile for now.
Jan 21, 2005 05:29 am Turns out the pictures I took are a bit to big to fit in my profile.... so I'll have to figure out how to make them smaller in file size. Any suggestions on how to do that without taking new pictures?

Jan 21, 2005 08:30 am If you have an app like Photoshop it's easy as. But most image editing software will have some way of changing the attributes of a pic!
If you dont have anything like that email to me and i'll sort em out for you.

Jan 21, 2005 11:07 am You can do it in paint in your windows. Just open it up and click on image at the top, click on sketch and skew and change the horizontal and vertical percentages.
ex. They both should start out at 100% change the both to 25% and see how small it is. If you like, upload it!
Jan 21, 2005 11:09 am Yeah, but the results are horrible, it's not a very good optimizer...at least thats what I found the couple times I have used it in a pinch.
Jan 21, 2005 04:08 pm Try this place
www.myimager.com/
I just found it about 10 secs ago after a search so I can't tell you how it is. But it's free. I thinks I may have to play abit myself.
Jan 21, 2005 05:00 pm Well, I used the sketch and skew option in paint, and the result was O.K., I ended up doing 50 % and the file size was 23.5 KB. So I pushed the Upload button and
"File type error
Any uploaded file must be a gif or jpg."
Shows up.
I swear the image is Jpg. So what could be wrong?
Jan 21, 2005 07:22 pm Paint is a rowbish Bitmap app...its usual output is bitmap which is .bmp - check this to see if the file ye have is a bitmap (and if so,its no gif or jpg) so canny be uploaded and wont work. This, I suspect, may be the case...
If you have MS Photo Editor or somethin similar (usually free with all PC's) - thatd do the job far better.
If not them am ar stumped!!!
Cheers
Coco.
Jan 21, 2005 07:43 pm Success, seems that 23.5 kb is more than 24000 bytes?!? Who invented that system anyway.
I've got one pic up there and i'll put some more up once i get home again....
Thanks for the help coco, dB, bleak, Mike, and triprolo.
Jan 21, 2005 07:48 pm hahahahahahahhaah priceless
Jan 21, 2005 07:52 pm oh, 23.5kb is 24,064 bytes, if the limit is 24000 bytes...well, ya know, that damn base 8 counting...
Jan 21, 2005 07:53 pm wow, I got credits in somebody's profile...cool...
Jan 21, 2005 08:04 pm Well dB, if it wasnt for you i would have been still asking what a "cubase" was. So you deserve them man. This is a great website, and I've learnt heaps from it.
Jan 21, 2005 08:17 pm groovy, thanks, glad I've helped in some way.
Jan 22, 2005 02:28 am Hey C_S
Ditto what dB said...good on ya.
And, I am also honoured!!!

Jan 23, 2005 07:31 pm I noticed you couldnt resist putting some glasses on the dog aye? Paint can be fun for that stuff as well. My son used to spend hours doodleing in MS paint.
Cant wait to see other pix as well.
Jan 23, 2005 09:57 pm If you want to post your other pics, get a photobucket account. It's free and easy. www.photobucket.com
Jan 24, 2005 12:32 am Cheers Johnny hero, I might just do that.
What do you mean put them on noize? My dog wears glasses.........
And coco, the same to you, big thanks for helping me along the path to home recording. Really appreciated it.

Jan 28, 2005 10:44 pm Nice indeed. I like the tight drum room. Looks like you have some nice gutiars and amps as well. Sure looks a lot neater and tidier then my room for sure.
Jan 31, 2005 01:45 am Cheers noize, you can thank my mum for that. After a while of "semi-tidyness" she took it in to her own hands to clean up after me......
