A Snippet of a song I'm working on

Being on vacation this week I've been doing music almost the entire time. After finishing Games We Play, I sat to down to work on Just the Girl for Me, but ended up getting side tracked and this is result. Nothing to original, I just like the sound of it. This is pretty different from anything you've heard from me before. :)

This is only first minute of it, and is pretty rough, but I'd like to get some input on it as to whether I should bother actually finishing it.

Working Title: Who Am I

Thanks,

Dan

First of all, I'm glad to hear that you are working on "Just the Girl For Me"! I'm listening to it again right now...it REALLY has the Tom Petty sound. It's awesome!

As far as "Who Am I"...hell yes, you should finish it! That's a great riff! I love the crunch. You go Dog!

Um, thanx Dan. I think I just had a flashback, no, really I did. That sound brought back some memories for sure. Nice simple riff, and yes defonately worth expanding on the idea you have going there.

And yes indeed, it is a departure from your usual fare, but I liked it.

Yep Jim, I was searching for the guitar tone to use for "Girl For Me" last night, going thru presets and hit 1 of the rectifier ones and started messing around, thru together some quick lyrics and boom LOL. I will be getting "JtGFM" done up though. :)

Haha, Noize, I hope it was a pleasant flashback! This one has some of my later influences in it such as STP and later.

My old stuff to a degree doesn't really show where I'm at today in my tastes, but I'm just getting to the point where I'm comfortable enough with my instruments and voice to start moving forward :) I'll always be stuck somewhat in the 70's & 80's my favorite decades, but maybe I can make 'em sound newer.

Thanks, I'm still deciding what to with this one, I just felt like stretching (for me at least) my directions and sound. :)
