Can someone just direct me how I would go about composing flash animations....
I see em all the time obviously but don't know which program I can use to fade in jpegs and things of that nature...
I hope no one I work with sees this, but if I can figure this out I can make some major extra ching doing my companies website...
There is a way to make a website look good without these things, but people here are pissing and moaning about having this capability

Dec 06, 2004 06:32 pm www.flashkit.com is a good resource.
You can not learn Flash in the context of a forum...get a book and read it, get a demo of Flash and use the tutorials. There are also other apps, such as CoffeeCup FireStaer and Swish that make building simple Flash components easier.
Dec 06, 2004 07:23 pm Some effects commonly mistaken as Flash are often Javascripts and nothing more.
Flashing text, txt effects and fading images are common.... you may wanna check that too..the poor mans flash I used many times.
Macromedias prices are FAR too high for me!!

Dec 06, 2004 07:43 pm Well...For future FYI...My intelligence carries me farther than having expectations of a forum to solve all my problems...I know my initial post was slopped together and poorly thought out...this is what happens when someone is leaving work...
In this case I did download demos of Flash Mx, Dreamweaver MX, and ColdFusion about a week ago, ...so I was checking to see if my software demo inquiries were on...If so...off to Barnes and Noble I go.
These prices are far too high for me also, especially for programs I don't know about...
Thank you boys...I will look into these other programs...from there....who the f*** knows...
