Dec 01, 2004 11:12 am I have a Studio Projects B3, 160$ Very happy.
It has 3 patterns, as well as -10db, flat, and low roll off.
I've heard the RODE 200$ condenser is very good too. I believe Walt has one of those and recommend it very highly.
Oh, and welcome to HRC.

Dec 01, 2004 11:50 am Welcome to HRC,
The Behringer B-1 is a great mic. I use it all the time for vocals and also for acoustic guitar. There was an earlier thread that had alot of input about the b-1, dont know exactly which one but look thru the posts and im sure you will find it...has alot of info..

Dec 01, 2004 03:27 pm if you are willing to spend $200 you might wanna think about looking at Rode condensers. they are a step up from behringer.
that said, i have the behringer b-2 pro and LOVE it!

Dec 01, 2004 04:23 pm Check out the Se Electronics range, they make some mics that other companies rebrand, some you may have heard of i'm sure, really good clean mics. SE1a's a small diaphragm condenser for around £60 UK, and they have two Large Diaphragms that go for a little more. Well worth a look, plus they do free trials where you can try before you buy for a week. Do a google for the US distributor.

Agreed with above, Behringer B1 and B2 are worthy mics. The Rode NT1 is a little nicer per my ears, but real close. I have an Oktava 319 that I like a lot as well but they are getting difficult to source. For small diaphram condensers the Oktava M012 was a real steal for a while, but they are getting hard to source now too. Time to start testing others myself.
