A little something I have been working on. I tried more shouting instead of trying to sing and I think it helped but, alas, I cannot say for sure. Also redid the vocals (many times) on These Days if anyone cares.
Feedback on the song and mix would bee most welcome.

I know the bass needs to be droped by about 3dB...
Thanks.

Oct 13, 2004 02:54 pm Youre improvin- a guy told me once to just sing root notes, and concentrate on blending your voice to just the root notes, to sorta train your ear and your voice. I gotta say im still no singer but one day it sorta clicked and i improved quite a bit. The music is good on this one- seems to get better each time. Gotta keep pluggin away- it'll all come together.
i'd still like to give a shot at "laying alone" send me an email if youre interested.
Oct 13, 2004 03:05 pm i'll pop you one when I get home from work tony.
thanks.

Oct 14, 2004 02:19 am Bennis, this song is good. The mix sounds good, but it seems that the accoustic guitar seems it may have a little extra highs on it. But that could be the lofi I'm listening on. And that's nit picky. However, the vocals are pretty off pretty often. I'm having some serious problems with this myself lately (trying to do some christmas songs). Like Tony says, the only thing to do is to keep trying until they come out right. Your tone isn't bad, just your pitch is off. But looking past that, I like this song, and it sounds clean. Good job.

Oct 21, 2004 06:47 pm i have one that I am working on. I have most of the stuff down and I would love to get your vocals in there. Would you be alright with sending me your vocal track so I can mix it down?
I have yrics and everything and will prob but a scratch vocal version for you if you want to.
what do you think?
Oct 21, 2004 06:58 pm Hey Bennis! I loved the feel of your songs. Like Tony says, just practise.
It seems to me (just keep in mind I'm not a pro...sorry) you generally hit notes fine at the bottom and near the top of the vocal range you use in the song.
I think you're great...just my 2c worth. :-)
Kind regards,
BM
Oct 21, 2004 07:33 pm your 2c are always welcome here BM. Thanks for listening!

Oct 24, 2004 08:58 am The music sounds really good and interesting. The vocals were kinda shaky in terms of pitch. The song flows smoothly and your progression (both chord progression and linear progression) makes sense. Great sound quality - the highs on the first guitar are a little much for me, but I'm listening on headphones that make all sounds just a little tinny anyhow. Good song, man.
Oct 24, 2004 01:04 pm thanks forty, i agree with ya on the clean guitar. thanks for listening.
