I listened on the radio. Seems I cant turn the TV on or the Vikes suck big. So I am relegated to listening on the radio. Or getting the play by play from dB. Either way, the vikes kick hiney.

Aside from that I think I liked listening on the radio better almost.

Forty, I watched the last 10 minutes or so of that game, the steelers almost blew it BIG time...that was one hell of an ending.

yeah, db. apparently they were strong in the first half then things went bad. they can't sink back into a total dependence on thier running game again this year, which, listening to cohwer, i think they're going to do. how many years are they going to stick to a losing formula! last year with that new QB they started passing at last. it looked like it was working, too, up till the end of the season. i just can't believe they're thinking this way again. running is important sure but passing is great when done well, and so exciting to watch.

Its always good to win a division game, especially when it's against the Crows...or the Steelers.

I'm sure you knew this was coming...

While I have become very disillusioned with the state of professional sports in general, particularly the shift in focus away from the "team" and more toward the "individual", it's still good to see the Packers win now and again.

Packers 24 - Carolina 14

I'm not overly confident that I'll get to make many positive reports this season, so I better do it while I can.

crash,

under normal circumstances i would be all psyched for a game like that but the steelers really worry me. if they stick to the running game it may lead to the same thing it has for like the last 5 years. high hopes till season's end, then a last minute failure when they get into a bind and wont pass thier way out of it. based on what little i know, i believe that other (smart) teams are prepared to exploit thier dependence. i would like to look at some stats on this. it seems to me they've grown too conservative.

but of course nothing is more exciting to browns/steelers fans than that matchup. cowher, wisen up!

Stupid Denver Donkeys and their good gameplan!! I don't even want to talk about the Chiefs' loss this week. And now, we get to turn around and play Carolina. Yay. I guess this is the price we pay for our soft schedule last year.

Jim, thanx to yoru Packers i was not the SLUG of the week on our football pool. I picked them hesitantly but they came through for me and kept me from gettin my name drug through the mud. I may just pick em agian this week unless you think they cant do it again.

Fortymile....da Stillers havent had a passing game for a few years and yep, they've been a conservative team relying on the running game to set up a short passing game but thats ok with me, being the die-hard Browns fan that I am. Course the punkin-heads havent been a real powerhouse lately either. Should be a good run for the division.

Noize,

Packers have Bears at Lambeau... Bears are coming off an unlikely loss to the visiting Lions. Packers are tough to beat at Lambeau, especially when it's the home opener. (Although, as I'm sure dB will be quick to point out, they lost to the Vikings in last year's home opener...)

All things considered, the smart money would be with the Packers this week!

I hope I didn't just jinx the Pack!

Na, I dont htink anyone can jinx them but themselves. Anyway, I am picking the Pack as well as the Vikes of course. I am going to see if I can make it the entire year this year without being the biggest looser, ie:slug of the week.
