Two new'uns... one ambient, and another folk-diddy .
The song, "Mrs, Brown", is about tabloid news papers and the people who think they're real . It was written by a Michael Smith, who's in my band .
"Alone", the ambient, WAS a wedding march that I pulled all the 'happy' notes out to make into this dirge . (Please read nothing into this, as it was purely a musical experiment . lol)

The ambient work was something I was thinking of getting more into, as the process of recording this type of music seems less, um... less argumentive . :)

Aug 16, 2004 10:41 pm Bump...
Maybe I should'a put this in Music & Composition, or perhaps I put some people off with that 'Terminal' number, or maybe everyones just as busy as myself ? It's all good... I was going to post some other music, and I noticed that nobody had lent an ear to either of these yet, so I thought I'd bump 'em, and maybe get y'all at a better time . 'Alone' is recent-enough that I was able to use many of the tips I learned 'bout eq'ing, and compression from HRC on, and may be up for some collab-effort, if anyone about it . Any input, on either is greatly appreciated .
Aug 17, 2004 12:36 pm Due to my terrible audio streaming problems, I have extreme trouble listening to ANYTHING online. However, I did try to listen to Mrs. Brown about a month ago, and liked the bit I heard quite a lot. The only problem is, I get 4 seconds of music and 19 seconds of ...buffering...buffering...buffering.
AGH! But, if I ever get my streaming audio problems dealt with, I promise to give these songs the listen they deserve.

Aug 18, 2004 03:08 pm wow, the ambient one is pretty cool. i could definitely zone out when listening to that, its awesome. sounds like the music they play when your at a one of those planetarium things where you sit down and look a the images of space. i was just waiting for the voice to come in and start talking about black holes and galaxies. pretty sweet dude.

Aug 19, 2004 12:57 am Thanks for listening Dan ! I never considered the 'outer' space factor of that song... maybe it could use a Carl Segan sample ?! 8) Hmmm... maybe something from an old sci-fi film perhaps ? Now y'a got me thinkin' . Anybody, got Carl ?
