I was wondering if anyone knew the differences between the NT1 and NT1A in the Rode mics. Is either better quality than the other or just about the same as I was quite impressed by the A's prices and the NT1 seem to have a good rep.

Jul 07, 2004 11:37 pm The "A" is an anniversary model. I have the NT1's myself and love them. I believe the "A" model is "enhanced" ... modified. I wouldn't be affraid of either. The aspect I appreciate the most is that the NT1 is very clear, sensitive, and articulate. Lends very well to modeling, EQ-ing, etc. as the signal it produces is so acurate.

Jul 08, 2004 01:03 am Understand that I am by no means a pro here but I just got a NT1A two days ago and I can tell you this thing sounds nice. I used it to record some acoustic guitar tonight and I'm loving it. It sounds like you are sitting in the room with the guitar. Very nice.
