Ok not that new... understand all the fundamentals but want advice on best equipment for a dance set up ?
Trance \ House etc. I plan to add live instruments too and vocals but this can all be recorded digitally.
What synth modules \ samplers \ rack units etc would people reccomend for a very good set up. budget approx 3000 GBP say $4000.
any help appreciated.

i would look into the Korg Triton rack, Karma, a Kaos Pad and other cool stuff from Korg. Go to their GEAR section and look under Keyboards and the Dance section.

Jun 21, 2004 02:31 pm Well. I own a Korg ER-1 @ EM-1. Both are based for your type of style, in my mind. The patterns and such fully editable. The EM-1 is a little more advaced and has more punch to it. You should be able to find them pretty cheap on Ebay, although I do not recommend it. I have never been jipped on said site, but it's one of those "user preference" situations. I bought my EM-1 off EBAY and it's done wonders. The rest of my stuff was bought brand new. These modules are called the Electribe series. Recently, Korg has come out new Electribe modules for somewhere around $600(I think). I worked one at GC and it was impressive but not necessarily to die for. My two have been considered good modules for the price. But others my have their own opinions also. Good Luck and welcome!
