May 25, 2004 10:55 pm Mix the drum-sound that you want on a 4+ channle mixer, and run it into the recorder .
mic 1-snare
mic 2-kick
mic 3-overhead L
mic 4-overhead R
Of course, there is the question reguarding which mic-type to use, and what you are able to use...

May 26, 2004 12:55 am ... what kind of mics y'a got Steve ?
There's a cool tutorial in the Recording Tips section ! Good Stuff !
May 26, 2004 04:43 am Yup, Steve, I agree with Hue, you would have to mix the drums down to a two track mix. SO presumably you would mix the drums down to a stereo mix of the four mics and just record them as left and right.
May 26, 2004 06:15 pm How do I run it to the recorder???

May 26, 2004 08:16 pm If y'a got 4 mics, you'll need 4 microphone cables, which you'll plug into a mixer with at least 4 inputs . Then, with microphones on mic-stands pointing at the part of the kit that you want to record, drummer playing away, and headphones on your head, begin "mixing" the 4 mics into a sterio field that sounds pleasing to your taste . There should also be a 'line', or 'main'-out of your mixer that you would run a cable from, out to your 'digital recorder' ...
... as far as the 'mixing' goes, check the tutes .
I hope this was the answer you're looking for... maybe I should have just said : "With a wire." ?
