Hi guys! I used Acid like a year ago and I had no problems recording on it. I think it had this feature that let u listen to stuff while u record. So i use to just connect my headphones to hear the beat and rap on the microphone. HOwever, sometime passed and I didnt do anyrecording, now I finally get a chance so I got my home studio setup, but I cant seem to remember that feature or find it in ACid pro. When I record i cant hear anything just see everything move. I know for a fact there was a feature on Acid that made u hear while record. I mean how else are u gonna record stuff right? Can anyone help me with this ACid pro 4 problems please? I just wanna spit something bad! got super cool brand new monitors and shure 58 ready to go! PLEASE HELP! do u reccomend other software for my problems? anything please thansk!

I think the problem may not depend on Acid, but rather with your soundcard settings. check them to see if there is some conflict of interest there maybe.

I'm with coolo, check all your preferences in the app and with your sound card...and also maybe checking the sound card (is it the Edirol in your profile) with some other app to make sure the card itself is OK.

If you can't hear yourself, do you get recorded?

Hi Db masters!

I can record my vocals and see them move! its weird! when I play off of acid i can hear them on my new monitors but when I record I can only see them move on the equalizer and it does record. I just cant hear and stuff. Like put a track on Acid first, than I press record. But i just cant hear anything than. It records and love the recording with the new sh58 mic. Thanks for your reply, and any further help would be great! *mr.sad face*

most soundcards have an option to toggle what you hear, like on mine there's an option called "monitor mixer" which lets me hear all 8 channels at once.

i'm sure you can do what you're trying to do. it's a nessecary feature to be able to hear what you're recording

hey, to clarify, can you not hear the beat that is already there, or just the vocals you're trying to record while you record?
