arrrgghhh, i traded my copy of sonar for a used cubase and when i try to get my audiophile in sync with the software it doesnt come in sync with it, basically the sync goes whacko after about 12 seconds... i have no idea what to do, ive raised the buffers and nothing has really worked.. im guessing it could be a setting on my card's control panel.. can anyone help?

I would suggest trading it back to get Sonar back. I wouldnt trade Sonar for Cubase if ya paid me. Not that Cubase sucks, but why would ya trade something that works for something that doesnt?

Anyway, it sounds like Cubase is not liking your drivers selection. Are you running ASIO? If not you should be. go get the most current drivers for the AudioPhile and go from there.

does Cubase have a built-in automatic hardware configuration tool like Sonar has?

I dont think so, but I havent upgraded since version 5 so am not really sure. You can adjust everything manually though, but you better be familier with your gear in order to go that direction.

does your system hang?

is your 'buffer' not buff enough?

does she complain of dropouts?

then you need the all new...

Why dont ya just swithc back o Sonar and go with what ya know? It seems that it was running better for you then Cubase is.

And they say buffer size doesnt matter :-)
