im having trouble with midi, i have no clue really how it works, and my computer says i have no idea what the problem is. i have set the outputs to everything i have... i am basically trying to map drums, but i cant even bring up the score editor. do i have to have a controller?

Sep 22, 2003 04:52 am do you mean in Sonar? let us know exactly what program (sequencer, sound generator) you're using and what you're trying to do with them.

Sep 22, 2003 04:02 pm Yes it will be much easier if you can tell us what program you are using. Each program is a bit differant as too how they set up the drums. And what exactly do you mean by score editer?

you soound like you're just starting out. have you tried reading the manual?

Sep 25, 2003 11:15 pm I used a drum machine plugin in cubase sx. All you need to do is open a midi track, select the ins and outs to make sure that they are the correct ones, select the drum machine as the VST instrament, and then use your MIDI keyboard to control the drum sounds.
