This is a new piece of software that takes Harmonic Balancing and other parts of the mastering process and makes them more visually based, making it a bit easier. I have been playing with it a bit over the weekend and find it pretty cool so far, I wasn't sure at first, but I am starting to "get it".
Anyway, they just let me know that for a limited time they are dropping the price substantially and it is $95 now (for a while) Check it out if you are interested. I am in the process of evaluating it for a full review at HRC...so far, I think it is surely worth anyone's time to at least get the eval copy and try it out.

Aug 18, 2003 06:16 am this looks soooooooooo cool!
Aug 18, 2003 06:59 am Well, the regular price is $350 I believe is what they told me. It is pretty cool from my testing so far, but it is a different way to get used to thinking about music. Visual music mastering is kind of an odd concept considering when I master my eyes are often closed...

Aug 18, 2003 07:42 am i just liked the theory of it being able to master alll your tracks to a certain sound so they all fit, without having to do it yourelf - im rubbish at that sorta thing...

Aug 18, 2003 09:33 am And it's cheap... that's what really gets it for me. 95 for a mastering app isn't bad. hope I can get that much money before they crank the price back up

Sep 05, 2003 02:16 am i went to the samples page and listened to the R&B before and after samples, and there is totally a multi-tap delay on the drums that is thickening up the mix. not exactly a good idea for before/after shots.
looks like a cool app, though.
Sep 05, 2003 10:25 am Minkus, isn't taht kind like those weight loss commercials? :O)
they have the before picture slouching and frowning, poor lighting and contrast, a grainy photo with bad color, THEN the after is all smiley and touched up.
who do they think they are!? lol
