Who's has seen it? I saw it over the weekend.
IFirst, I have always dug Depp, the dude rocks and this movie is no exception. He is like the "Mr. Bean" of pirates. it's a total riot, the effects are really good, the characters are humorous.
Good stuff.
This weekend it Tomb Raider.
mmmmmm...Angelina Jolie...mmmmmmm...psycho, but kinda, uuuuummmmm, hot. There is "psycho, psycho", then there is "hot-as-hell-turn-me-on-psycho".

Jul 29, 2003 08:40 am My family saw it and loved it. I gonna go see it with them soon.
Did you see Tomb Raider 1 ? It was good. I really loved how the dudes with the machine guns with silencers couldn't hit a girl swinging on a rope. Actually I couldn't shoot Angelina either (snicker).
Go see The league of extraordinary gentleman. It's like the rest, unbelievable but entertaining. And that's what I go to see
Jul 29, 2003 08:42 am Yes, we rented TR1, and really enjoyed it, can't wait to see 2. Pirates is one that HAS to be seen in the theatre, not in the home theatre. Go see it on the big screen while you can.
Jul 29, 2003 08:46 am I saw pirates; 4 times and counting.

Jul 29, 2003 09:11 am i thought pirates had plenty of enjoyable factors, but was very lacking when you start to look at how things like the pace of the movie and the writing in particular spots worked out. it definitely was a bruckheimer-verbinski film.
all in all, i enjoyed it a lot.

Jul 30, 2003 01:23 pm i think the pacing was good. 2 and a half hours went by quick and i wouldn't have noticed it if i hadn't cashed out a 42 oz before the previews were over... definitely a good family movie without being so obviously "family" centric.

Jul 30, 2003 01:27 pm oh and Depp is the man... he can adapt to any role well. the only 2 actors i like more are joe pantagliano (traitor in matrix 1) and the actor who is MR. Pink in Resevoir Dogs.
