Hey gang,

I'm sure some of you noticed that I've not been around much for the past couple of weeks. I've been absolutely burried lately. On the upside, I did do some very fun things, a couple of which I thought I would share with you all.

Saturday, May 31: Me, my girlfriend and 4 very close friends took a limo to the Hollywood Bowl to see Coldplay. I have to say that Coldplay is another "must see" band. They put on an awesome show and the sound was outstanding. My only complaint was that the show was only about an hour and a half long, but what can you expect from a band who only has two records out?

Tuesday, June 3: Myself and 4 of my closest friends went to see Pearl Jam at Verizon Ampitheatre. I've long been a fan, but never has seen them live. If you've not seen them, I highly recommend it. They really are all about the live show. No crazy light show, no gimmicks. Just pure, unadulterated rockin'.

I also managed to go to 3 of the past 5 home games of the Ducks Stanley Cup Payoff run, work on three side-projects (work) and take a three day trip to Las Vegas. I think I might need to sleep for about a week and go through some sort of detox, but once I get all caught up, I'll be back to my music and back here full force! At least I've aquired a good amount of inspiration lately. That makes me feel a little better about the fact that I've barely picked up my guitar for the past 2 weeks!

Yep, coldplay are great. They were just here a bit ago at a small club downtown and the show was great so I hear. Pearl Jam is as you said great live. I saw them when they were brand new on their first tour and it was a great show. They jammed heavily on a couple of tunes no one knew but ended up standing up and jamming as if they knew them anyway.

Glad you got some free time in and are back in the thick of things almost. I am in need of some relaxation time as well but dont see it for several weeks yet. Have a band comming in to record here live for the first time in a while and I need to clean things up a bit and get the rooms ready. Also need to try and hunt down a couple of MK012s before the end of the month for the drums.

They dont really need to be matched, just made about the same time so they are close in sound. Not like buying a new 319 and trying to use it wiht my older one for a stereo image. I think that might be a bit off. But you never know, it might sound allright in the end.
