looks an interesting piece of kit for the money - not gonna pay much for it though.
whats that plug anyway - is that a standard mixing desk-fitting type of plug?

May 18, 2003 10:07 am actually, its qite addictive this ebay thing -*ive got loadsa bids in at the minute.
May 18, 2003 04:36 pm hehe yeah eBay's bad like that. Watch yourself dude, I was bidding on bass guitars a couple years ago and won TWO of them. A 4-string AND a 5-string. Now I'm tryig to sell the 4-string cause I just don't use it.
No, I don't think that cable on the Philips stereo mic is any kind of standard mic cable. They call it "some sort of DIN cable" so it would be more like a MIDI cable or something. It would take some soldering iron wizardry to get that thing working on a regular desk.
That other auction for $4 looks like it would have been a deal. That one mic looks like my Audio Technica PRO1, it just needs a new jack soldered onto it. You could have probably sold that old Electro Voice to a CB collector and doubled your money.
I think these auctions are going so cheap because they're in the wrong categories. They should be in Musical Intruments / Wired Microphones. I love scouring for items in the wrong categories and sellers that "have no idea what this is". Or the ones where the seller misspelled the description so it's coming up in *no one's* search results. Their misfortune is your gain ;O) -j
