Creating a Station ID for a website:

So, my father in-law recently started up a website for old radio broadcasts from the 50's and such that entered into the public domain. www.oldradioprograms.us

The site is getting some healthy numbers of visits, and he wants me to put together a Station ID that he can insert into the playlist between shows. He gave some examples such as sites using static as if you're dialing into the station, and others that use like a musical vocal jingle.

It should not a huge deal, and I'm waiting to hear back if he wants some sort of catch phrase, or any particular effects/sound on the vocal.

Anyhoo, going to be using my mics to record as dry as I can get it, and then plan to apply some effects to the vocal. My voice isn't exactly voice-over or announcer-ish, but I should be able to get by.

So, any pitfalls to look out for? I know the ID should be short, so I'm thinking about 10 seconds-ish or less.
