Handclaps?

I'm doing some Ramones-type three-chord punk, and was wondering how I should best mic handclaps? And what about EQ? I'm not really looking for a huge, stadium-full handclap, I pretty much want it to sound like another drum on the kit. Any suggestions?

well since no one's asnwered yet, how about a pair of dynamics. et 'em close and pull them back until they're peaking properly without clipping. Then you could pan each one about halfway left and right to fill the stereo. Maybe a *tiny* amount of reverb to spice it up when you goto mix it. You might use your snare EQ setting as a starting point when EQing the claps. Those are all guesses and ponderings. I'm curious how'll you do this too. I plan on sampling lots of handdrums and stuff soon.

If you used a very tight single delay setting on two hand claps you could make it sound like four. Just a thought.
