but seriously... my brain hurts. I'm not even that good on ONE guitar!

Jul 05, 2010 01:39 am Stanley Jordan is amazing, was once known as the octopus as a street musician, check out his version of Stairway To Heaven or Eleanor Rigby.

Jul 06, 2010 09:28 am Oh yeah, SJ is the bomb. I had 2 CDs of his back years ago (before house fire) that I listened to a lot. Most earlier stuff was done on 1 guitar, and yes, Eleanor Rigby is very good.
The first CD has some of his story, playing on street corners for change, then getting a following, etc.

Jul 06, 2010 12:06 pm You know, I'd heard SJ before but had never watched him. And yeah, that bassist is melting faces.

Aug 27, 2010 11:52 am It really is amazing... but,the look on his face is that of it being such a completely natural approach to the instrument.
He must've come from the same planet as Mozart... planet Amazing! That would explain the hair, as well. = p

Aug 27, 2010 01:33 pm Agreed, the fact that he seems 100% relaxed just blows me away.
