Hooking up my gear to best effect.

Hi, I need advise on the best hookup for my home studio. I have an M-Box pro with fire wire to a PC and protools 8LE interface. My mic and guitar run through a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro mixer to warm up the sound and are permanently connected channels 1 and 2 respectively then from the direct outs to the M-Box input 1 & 2. The monitor outs on the M-Box L & R come back through the mixer on channels 15 & 16 and the powered monitors are taken from the control room outs. There's an Alesis multiverb 4 on an AUX, one send and two returns solely to get reverb on monitoring while in record.A JL.Cooper data sync2 and XT are connected with sync cables and to the m-box by midi I/O cables. What is the best way to incorporate the 8 channels in and outs of the Adat through the 1604 Mackie mixer bearing in mind I would never record more than 4 tracks simultanously to Adat, but will send all 8 channels to the M-Box, would the buss's help me for the recording to Adat? Thanks

Why not use the Mackies direct outs for that?

Edit: I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing what it is that you're trying to do.
