I recently bought a M-Audio Delta 44, only to now realize that I cannot plug headphones directly in them...
My setup is as following:
-I plug all my instruments into a Yamaha MG82CX mixer
-The mixer's output are plugged into the Delta 44's inputs 1/2
-Delta 44's outputs 1/2 are plugged into my L and R monitors
Would it be possible to plug Output 3/4 into my mixer's "Return inputs" and then plug my headphones into the mixer?
Would I then be able to send my instrument's sounds alone into the Delta's inputs while recording WITH playback? (without the return signal coming from the delta's outputs 3/4)
Would I be able to send the Delta's Output 3/4 alone into the headphone?
If that doesn't work, what would be the best solution for plugging headphone into the Delta 44? (in this case, best solution being the cheapest!)
Thanks a lot!

Sep 08, 2009 07:19 pm You can try the stereo aux returns from the Delta 3/4 outputs.
Just remember to not send any of the aux to the main output if that is what you are sending to the Delta.

Sep 10, 2009 10:21 am Y'a know, I never routed that way before, Noize. That actually may be the perfect solution to what we have going on at the north-site.
I can't believe I didn't consider that! It kind'a bugs me that I didn't. : )
What did you end up doing, Reveirg?
Sep 10, 2009 08:35 pm Turns out my mixer has a dedicated input (2TR in), that can be routed to the monitors section alone (or headphone).
However, that input is RCA, -10dbv, and the delta 44's output can only be set to +4dbu.
I might end up buying a dedicated headphone amp or something that can manage many monitors and headphone.
Anyhow, thanks for your help everyone!
