I love the news reporter.

Instructor - "Do you feel light headed?"

Reporter - "Well, you just hit me in the head!"

I was waiting for her to smack him back. And it would have been great if she did, and feel to the ground in the same fashion as the rest of the idiots!

In all fairness, "pressure points" are real, we all have them and they are kinda interesting...but I will say in my last few years of training, while I have had many pressure points worked over, not one has ever knocked me unconscious...much less without even touching me.

After a while I have found many pressure points kinda deaden themselves and render themselves ineffective to an opponent.

That being said, there are a couple that are simply flaws in God's design of the human body that can be incredibly painful, but not able to knock me out...oh, and the key part of working pressure points is the fact you have to TOUCH them in order to give them PRESSURE.

just sayin...

here is another awesome video.

funny s***.
yeah just coz they pressure points, does that necessarily give the oponent the upper hand if used?
no way.
like you say dB some of em can be used effectively, thats if ya have the time to fart around and get it right first go, before you get yer assed knocked out.

this stuff has gotta be a setup f sure.
Hook the guy up to a machine to measure if there's any energy coming from him, ha ha ha, ya gotta be joking me.

that vid reminded of those crazy church sects. with their little faithful followers.
i have heard of a pressure point similar to the neck one he used, being able to knock out a man, but whether thats an old ninja myth or not i dunno, i would think so.

Always a classic on the Ninja Tryouts dB.

I know what you are talking about on the pressure points. The training that I took, exploits them as well.

My favorite is the one right by the back molars. Once again, this won't drop a person to the ground. But it sure will take the fight out of them!

My favorite is just poking people right below the adams apple... Had a Drill Sergeant that used it occasionally and it's sort of funny when used push people away who are getting "in your face"... especially when they're trying to talk smack. :)

Both very funny indeed. The first one is pretty funny as his stun doesn't work on anyone accept his own students.

Second one reminds me of a few tough guys I've known throughout my life. And like in the video, they all fall flat on their faces or what have you.

But ya, pressure points exist, but not the way he makes them look.

Ooo, that spot under the adams apple is nasty, I like right at the base of the back of the skull, hit that right, it's a nice little stunning blow.

There are a few, but I learned when I was grappling a lot that many of them start to deaden. I took a pressure points seminar a few months back (couple years now probably) and the instructor used me as a test subject a few times and got frustrated when more than a couple of his demos didn't work on me. He knew tho, he said "oh, you grapple don't ya, I'll call you up for the last one".

That last one was just above the ankle on the inside of the shin...some exposed nerve...DAMN did that hurt! I had never heard about that one before then...

All three had me rollin'!

Deon: Yeah, 'faith-healers' came to my mind, as well.

A sort of hysteria... which doesn't seem to work on those not so hysterical. Terrible that we have to endure such people in real life. They truly are a special kind of *******.

Ninja Tryouts really is classic.

The third one, with all the kids is great, just because kids and martial arts always seem to produce mixed results... most of the learning process incurs many chances for high-quality physical comedy.

Thanks for the laugh, dB!

So why does he boot the ref in the nads when the ref gave him the point?

Funny as hell that one was.

Yeah, that one cracked me up as well Noize.

I think he was locked into '***-kicking mode', and the ref was simply collateral damage. lol
